Special Needs Wheelchairs for Children

Life can be extra challenging for children with special needs, as well as for their families. Aside from physical barriers, some families also have financial concerns like paying for additional medical expenses or providing their kids with the necessary equipment.

Our organization, Handicapped Care Association (Handicare), Inc., has been working with people with disabilities in Manila by providing medical and livelihood assistance to them and their families.

We noticed that some of our partner beneficiaries use wheelchairs that are not suited to their needs. Most of the time, their families do not have a chance to choose the most appropriate wheelchair for them. It is because (1) only one type of wheelchair is available and/or (2) they cannot afford the type their kids need.

That is why we appeal to your kind hearts to help us be able to provide three (3) special needs wheelchairs to these children.

This type of wheelchair will help them and their guardians with easy mobility. Also, having an appropriate wheelchair benefits the physical health and quality of life of the children because it can aid in reducing the progression of their deformities.
