After a week of being destructed by Super Typhoon Rolly (Goni), the Philippines then felt the wrath of Typhoon Ulysses (Vamco), leaving a lot of communities flooded and many houses destroyed.
Channel of Hope Foundation, an organization that aims to comfort, help provide for, and minister to those in need, has put up this campaign to help those who were most affected by the recent typhoons.
As part of typhoon relief, our organization has already gone to Bicol and Rizal where we were able to provide basic necessities to around 450 and 200 families, respectively.
Since we were hit by Typhoon Ulysses when we have not yet really recovered from the brunt of Typhoon Rolly, we know that there are still a lot of places that have to be visited and need our help.
Last weekend, there have been calls for help in the Northern provinces. Through this campaign, we are hoping to support and provide the needs of families in Isabela.
Whenever we do a disaster relief work, we always coordinate with locals who are either involved in helping or are part of the government coordination team. This is to ensure that we can really reach out to those who need us most.
For in-kind donations, please consider the following:

Rice

Empty water containers

Easy-open canned goods

Hygiene kits

Alcohol

Face masks

Medicines

Mosquito nets

Rope

Flashlights

Sleeping mats and blankets

Tarpaulins

Malongs

Clothes (clean and gently worn; no undergarments; no party or fancy clothes)

Drop off point is at 4677 Gilia St. Sun Valley Subd., Parañaque City.
By donating to this campaign, you do not only help in providing these families with basic needs, you also boost their morale. That is what happens when they see that there are people who care and are concerned about them.
As a way to pass it forward, we encourage those who receive assistance to always help their neighbors whenever they can. We also teach them honesty and willingness to put others first.
