Each year Dream Catcher Appeal host their 'Heroes in the Community Awards'. The awards celebrate ordinary local people across the Isle of Man who do extraordinary things, going above and beyond their duty in the Manx community.
One of these awards is The Child of Courage Award and this award is nominated to a youngster who has faced adversity and shown true courage and determination. The award is one of the most popular and it never cease to amaze how many brave children there are on our beautiful island.
The funds raised through sponsorship, ticket sales and donations on the evening will be used to help local people, from providing much-needed items to other charities to supplying equipment for the disabled. It is an essential event not only to thank those in our community who might not get the recognition they deserve, but to also enable Dream Catcher to continue its efforts to making dreams come true on the Island!
