Silid Aralan, Inc (SAI) is a non-government organization that serves its purpose in facilitating children’s discovery of their inner potential, purpose, and love for learning. SAI caters to and facilitates low-performing or academically challenged public elementary and high school students in the Philippines. SAI believes that every individual is intelligent, thus, it helps low-performing students reach their full potential. SAI equips them with the necessary socio-emotional and 21st century skills to ensure that they can cope up with their academic subjects in school and get equal opportunities in the future as they join the workforce. With the life skills and learning competencies the learners develop, they learn how to believe in their own capabilities and become more conscious of their efforts to learn not just to have high academic standing but also to succeed in life and to create socially responsible innovations.

SAI offers two programs for its learners – the Ground Zero Program and the iLEAD Program.
The Ground Zero Program is the entry-level program of SAI. The learners in the program, under Grades 2 to 4, engage in fun and interactive sessions with the aim of developing their love for learning as they are equipped with skills and attitudes to guide them to take in new information, collaborate, read, present, and develop confidence in themselves. iLEAD (Inspire, Lead, Empower, Act, Develop) is a 6-year leadership program with two levels: 1) Junior iLEAD for learners from grades 5 to 7 and 2) Senior iLEAD for learners from grades 8 to 10. For the first term, Junior iLEAD learning sessions focus on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child. In the second term, initial sessions focus on leadership topics and progress into mini-community project planning, implementation monitoring and evaluation. In Senior iLEAD, learning sessions revolve around world leaders and Nobel Prize winners. During this level also, learners focus on planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating their own projects to create an impact on their community. Learners are also taught how to write grant proposals and present business plans. The learners of iLEAD are graduates of Ground Zero.
